For 25 summers, Edgewoods has been home to Boys Camp! Before we permanently moved Boys Camp to Edgewoods, we used to alternate where Boys Camp and Girls Camp were based every week of the summer. But then our leadership team decided to settle our programs into specific sites on our property. For the last 25 summers, Boys Camp, Girls Camp, and Discovery Camp have been hosted at Edgewoods, South Camp, and Chemawa respectively.
This Christmas we’re not only celebrating this milestone, but we’re also asking you to invest in Edgewoods to continue to improve this location for Boys Camp. Our donors over the years have helped us make many upgrades to this facility to better serve the boys and staff who come to Mini-Yo-We every summer. Just a few of those improvements have included:
- Front field features including the “berm” and beach volleyball courts
- Expanding the Boys Camp lodge at least three times over the past 25 summers to accommodate growth
- Addition of the Plains Section to make room for more campers
- Improved water activities areas for canoeing, kayaking, and sailing
- New tetherball courts and conversation nooks, including the benches on the front hill
- Action oriented program areas including The Plunge waterslide and 1/4 basketball court
- Adult accommodations like Tamarack and the first aid station
We’re thankful for donors like you who have helped us invest in the Edgewoods site over the years to make it better for our campers! But we need to ensure that we can meet the increasing needs at Boys Camp.

- Upgrade Boys Camp Waterfront
- The waterfront has always been a core part of the camper experience at Mini-Yo-We. Your gift will enable us to continue a multi-year project to redo all of our waterfronts to make them even more fun and safe.
- Brand New Washroom & Complete Renovation
- Your gift will enable us to build a new washroom as well as renovate the large main washroom at the Edgewoods site. We are in the midst of a multi-year campaign to renovate all our washrooms, and your gift to the Christmas Campaign will be combined with other donors to help us significantly upgrade these spaces for next summer!
