Meet Your Camp Directors for Summer 2024!

Camp MYWCountdown to Camp

We want campers to have the best time ever at Mini-Yo-We — that’s why we created the Countdown to Camp video series. It presents helpful info and tips for first-time and returning campers. Registered families get an email with a new video every Sunday at 2 PM. We’ve already midway through the series: check out the previous videos and blog posts!

What Is A Director?

This week on the Countdown, we meet our dream team of directors. In each core program, two of our most senior summer staff members work together to ensure every camper has a great experience at Mini-Yo-We! The Director of Camper Care & Parent Relations creates a supportive and caring environment for kids and engages with parents. The Director of Program & Administration oversees the planning and implementation of weekly themes and daily activities. Together, these duos lead all aspects of their program with the support of our year-round staff team. Our leadership programs also benefit from having co-directors who lead and mentor their campers and staff.

Introducing the 2024 Team

This summer’s directors can’t wait to meet the campers in their programs! In the meantime, we asked them to share a little about themselves. Check out their video intros to learn even more about each of them.

Hello! For the past few summers, I have been involved in our Leaders in Training (LIT) program, and have served in various other roles at Boys Camp. I am entering my final year of my undergrad in Civil Engineering at Queen’s University. Some of my interests include music and the outdoors. I am so excited to serve and support this summer!

Hey there! This is my second summer working at Mini-Yo-We and my whole family has been involved at Camp for some time now. Outside of Camp, I recently graduated from Queen’s University with a degree in Politics — now moving on to the next stage! Camp has been one of the greatest parts of my young adult life, and I’m so excited to be back for yet another year!

Hi! Last year was my first time on staff as the Land Activity Head, and this summer, I get the privilege of working as the Junior Camp Director of Camper Care and Parent Relations. Throughout the rest of the year, I study Concurrent Education (teaching) for Math and French at Queen’s University. This summer, I am really looking forward to working with the amazing team we have here, growing in our faith side-by-side and serving campers.

Hello! My family brought me to Camp when I was much younger, and I have loved making lifelong friends ever since. Outside of Camp, I am entering my fourth year of psychology at Queen’s, in hopes of becoming a therapist one day. I am very stoked for the humorous campfires at night, alongside all the crazy costumes that we have prepared.
