I am excited to share some important news with you. After a thorough search and hiring process, along with much prayer and consideration, I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Steven McCready as the new Executive Director of Camp Mini-Yo-We! Steve will officially start his new role at the beginning of April.
Steve brings a wealth of experience in leadership and ministry. He is a lifelong learner and his extensive education includes a Doctor of Ministry and a Master of Arts in Leadership. With a passion for the development of children and youth, and a deep commitment to creating a safe and inspiring environment for campers, Steve is uniquely qualified to guide Mini-Yo-We into the next chapter of growth and success.
Although he is a Canadian citizen, Steve was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Most recently, he has been the Senior Minister at Riverview Church in Perth, Australia. Steve will be joined by his wife, Rebecca, and their children, Isabella (16) and Shay (13). They made the decision to take this step together as a family and they are “all in” for the summer: Shay and Izzy are both intending to get involved in our camper programming for 2025!. Rebecca is an elementary school teacher, so she will have time in the summer to connect to the ministry of Mini-Yo-We as well. We look forward to the many contributions they will make as we work together to continue to grow and thrive.

We look forward to exciting times ahead, full of opportunities for transformation, lifelong memories and exciting new adventures in God’s creation.
