SUMMER 2020 UPDATE

Summer 2020 Update

We know that many people in the Camp Mini-Yo-We community are curious about how COVID-19 is impacting us during this season.  Please know that the leadership team at Camp Mini-Yo-We has been closely following this situation and will continue to do so. Due to COVID-19, we are unable to host overnight campers at Camp Mini-Yo-We this summer. As of May 19th, the Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, has informed us that overnight camps will not be permitted to operate this summer.  As a leadership team, it pains us that this is the first time in 74 summers that we won’t be hosting campers at Camp Mini-Yo-We.

Home Adventures

Home Adventures is a brand new way for Mini-Yo-We campers to stay connected this summer! In just a few weeks you’ll receive a package in the mail with your Summer 2020 limited edition t-shirt and a bunch of other surprises that will kick off the adventure at Home.

We are planning six weeks of fun in July and August where campers will be encouraged to gather points for their team, compete in challenges and more. Our team is also building an online portal that will serve as a safe and secure way for campers to interact with our staff and other campers. We'll be leveraging this opportunity to encourage kids to get outdoors and explore the world around them and share it with their friends from camp!

Family Adventures

Family Adventures is an opportunity for families to join us for a day at Camp and enjoy some time in Muskoka while honouring the “social distancing” guidelines. Families will adventure together around the site experiencing our most popular activities such as biking, kayaking, and high ropes. Plus they’ll get to try some “choose your own adventure” fun like riding the triple zipline together or playing a round of archery tag! The day will include a meal, photos by our social media team, and a chance to check out the tuck shop!

Our plan is to open up 5 days a week at our Discovery Camp Site. Each family will get their own cabin and washrooms that will serve as their home base for the day.
