Paddle for Purpose 2026
Every summer, the Camp Mini-Yo-We community comes together to raise funds for kids in need. For the past few years that has taken the form of The Brent Run, an epic paddle and portage challenge. This year, as we celebrate Camp's 80th anniversary, the adventure is evolving into the Paddle for Purpose and is designed to involve even more friends and supporters. Our goal is simple: paddle 80km, raise $80,000, and help send 80 young people to Camp Mini-Yo-We this summer!
And there's one more twist. This year's journey won't be in our usual canoes, it will be in a voyageur canoe... yes, the really big one! This summer 15 friends will paddle from Lake of Bays through the Muskoka River system before arriving home at the Girls' Camp waterfront at Camp Mini-Yo-We.

Paddle For Purpose Route
To celebrate Camp Mini-Yo-We’s 80th anniversary, our team is tackling a brand-new 80-kilometer paddle right through the heart of Muskoka. Fifteen paddlers. One massive voyageur canoe. Incredible impact.
-
The Start: Launching from Dorset, the team will push out into the massive waters of Lake of Bays.
-
The Loop: They will paddle down to Baysville, turn back north up the lake, and face a challenging 1.5km portage overland.
-
The Final Stretch: From there, they’ll navigate into Huntsville before winding down through the river system to the finish line.
-
The Grand Finale: Arriving right at home on Mary Lake at Camp Mini-Yo-We Girl's Camp waterfront!

Why do kids need Camp?
Many families face financial challenges that make sending their children to Camp impossible. With your help, we can change that for hundreds of children. Your donation provides life-changing experience where they can grow spiritually, make lasting friendships, and develop leadership skills in a supportive and nurturing environment. Friends of Mini-Yo-We who embarked on the Brent Run used the trip as an opportunity to raise funds to held send kids in need to camp.
The Paddle For Purpose has an ambitious goal of raising $80,000 for our 80th anniversary. Every stroke and every moment of the journey is dedicated to these children. Give online today at the link below!
