The head louse is a tiny insect that lives on human heads. Head lice is a common problem amongst children and is occasionally identified in our incoming campers. Since Camp is a community living in close quarters, the spread of lice can happen quite quickly. Each camper is checked for lice upon arrival on property. If lice is found, parents will have the option to pay a one-time fee of $250.00 to cover the cost of lice treatment by our staff team. This includes 2-3 on-site treatments on site. To reduce disappointment we strongly encourage parents to check their child’s head for lice both one week and one day before arriving at Camp. 

We take the safety of our campers with nut allergies very seriously. However, due to variables outside our control, we do not claim to be a peanut-free or nut-free environment. We consider Camp a nut-aware facility by taking the following proactive steps:

• Camp kitchens do not knowingly serve food that contains nuts. We do however permit the use of products that list “may contain traces of peanut products” or "may contain traces of nut products" in the ingredient list.
• Our tuck shops do not knowingly stock snacks that contain nuts.
• We request that campers, staff and guests do not bring products containing nuts onto our facility.
• Staff are instructed to remove products containing nuts from the property if found.

The private residences of staff living on property are not required to be nut-free. Campers are not permitted in these areas.

Campers prone to anaphylactic reactions are required to bring two epi-pens and carry one on their body at all times. Parents of campers with a known anaphylactic allergy must disclose this condition on the camper's medical forms during registration. We encourage parents to talk with the medical staff and their children’s cabin leader upon their arrival.

Parents/guardians are required to disclose any prescription medication that a camper takes on their medical form during registration. If camper has medications, the medications should come packed as follows:

• Leave medication in their original packages.
• Write the camper’s name on a Ziploc bag and place medications inside in it's original packaging.

Medication will be collected by a member of our team during the check-in process. Our medical team distributes medication four times a day at breakfast, lunch, dinner and before bed.

Campers with medications should have a photo on medical form for camper identification. If a photo is not provided during registration we will try to get a new photo during check-in.

Over-the-counter medication can be brought to Camp but must to given to the nurses at check-in as it is not permitted to kept in campers accommodations. Our First Aid Station is well equipped with all common medications required by campers during their week at Camp.
