Year Round Staff Team
Michael Ankenmann has been Executive Director since
1998 and was Director of Operations at Camp prior to that. He is a graduate of the University of
Toronto
with Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Civil Engineering. Prior to joining the year-round Camp staff team Michael spent 11 years as an engineer and then an associate of the geotechnical consulting engineering firm Golder Associates. He heard the Gospel for the first time and became a Christian at Camp Mini-Yo-We while a camper for the first time in 1974. From 1976 to 1983 Michael served on the summer staff team at Camp as a cabin leader, section head, out trip leader, camp director, and maintenance man. He has served on the governing Committee and Board of Camp, including a term as the Chairman from about 1982 to 1990.
Michael is married to Jean, a registered nurse, and they make their home in Huntsville where they attend Faith Baptist Church.They have three children; Ben and Kylie study at McMaster University, and Josh is in home school in grade 10. Being a camper at Camp Mini-Yo-We was an excellent and defining experience for Michael and he desires every camper to have a similar positive experience.

Discovery Camp Director
Her new position as Discovery Camp Director allows her love for people and her fun loving personality to shine through! Michelle , her husband Will, and their 3 children Spencer (15), Abi (13), and Issie (10) live in Bracebridge and attend Pinegrove Baptist Church. She is excited to be participating once again in the unique and wonderful ministry of camp Mini Yo We!

Girls Camp Director
Kirsty has a passion and a heart for ministry to children and young people and wants more and more lives to be touched by the love of Christ here at Camp. Kirsty also brings to Camp Mini-Yo-We a loving sociable personality that allows her to excel in this particular position.
Kirsty has been happily married to Mike Koop for the past 15 years. Kirsty and Mike now have 3 kids Sam (13yrs), Abby (11yrs)and Jack (9yrs). They all love the outdoors and have settled in to their new school and church wonderfully. Kirsty and her family attend Faith Baptist Church in Huntsville and praise God for all his blessings and for the opportunity to work for Him at Camp Mini-Yo-We.

Boys Camp Director & PRiME Director
Ethan has been involved in his home church all through his teens and adult life. While attending Tyndale he worked with the Forest Brook Youth Group for 5 years doing outreach, small groups, worship, and teaching. In 2007 Ethan married his lovely wife Liz. They are both active members at Forest Brook. In 2009 Ethan was hired by Camp Mini-Yo-We where he still gladly serves as Boys Camp Director & PRiME Director.

LIT Director
Chris Allison joined our team in February 2012 as our LIT Director. Chriss has served as a small group leader in the leaders-in-training (LIT) program for 5 years and is excited for this new opportunity to serve God and help our youth grow in their leadership abilities and their faith.

Outdoor Centre Director & Wake|Sail Director
Cliff Peat has been involved in Mini-Yo-We since he was 10 years
old. He is a graduate of Ontario Bible
College (Tyndale) and holds degrees in both Theology and Education. Cliff has over 15 years experience as a
school teacher in Kitchener/Waterloo, Durham Region and Muskoka. He spent over
10 years in Muskoka working in the Employment Resource field primarily
assisting in business startups in the Parry Sound and Muskoka region. Many
alumni would know Cliff as "Nemo" the Boys Camp Director in the 80s and involved
in Hockey Camp during the 90s. During
the summer Cliff directs Wake-Sail camp at Northwoods sharing his other
passion, the water.
Cliff enjoys sharing his interest and knowledge of God's creation and creatures around the camp property. Equally at home on the water, in the woods or atop the ropes course he loves to share his passion for the out of doors with visitors to Mini-Yo-We. An avid fisherman Cliff also enjoys windsurfing, water skiing in the summer and skiing and snowshoeing in the winter and high ropes all year round!
Cliff is married to Noli (Binnington) and has four grown up and moved out children: Brendan, Nathan, Taylor and Nadine. Cliff and Noli are founding members of Port Sydney Bible Chapel where they continue to serve.
Mini-Yo-We offers Cliff an opportunity to share his love and enthusiasm for creation, outdoor activities and God in a fun and challenging environment.

Matt Van Nus grew up and went to school in the Peterborough
and Kawarthas area of Ontario.
He is a graduate of the Outdoor Adventure and Adventure Naturalist programs at Algonquin College
in Pembroke Ontario.
He spent two seasons as a professional raft guide on the Ottawa
River before starting as an outdoor education instructor at
Ontario Pioneer Camp. After four years at Pioneer and a summer hiatus from
camping ministry Matt began as the Mini-Yo-We Outdoor Centres Assistant
Director at the end of August.
Matt has a passion for the outdoors and for teaching and sharing his knowledge of Gods created world. He enjoys cross-country skiing, white water kayaking, rock climbing, and mountain biking to name a few.
Matt has been married to his wonderful wife Caitlin since 2006. Together they have a daughter named Abigail (Abby) and another baby on the way in April. Matt and Caitlin have attended Harvest Bible Chapel Muskoka since 2008 and are blessed to be able serve there.
Matt is excited to work at Camp Mini-Yo-We and to see how God will work and lead the Outdoor Centre over the next few years.

Marketing & Sales Director
Scott McGill joined the MYW team in November 2010 and has never looked back since. Scott came from background in management at Starbucks Coffee Company in Waterloo Ontario. Before his days in Waterloo Scott lived in Ottawa where he obtained his degree from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa where he specialized in Marketing. Scott's love for children and young people stems from his extensive involvement in Young Life ministries where he first met Christ when he was 17. Since then Scott has stayed actively involved in Young Life with the goal of being able to reach more and more youth in schools across Mississauga.
Scott recently moved to Mississauga and currently lives there with his lovely wife Laura. Scott enjoys friendships, lots of coffee, the gym, hockey and is constantly trying to think of ways to make a positive impact on the world around him.
