Financial Support

Each summer over 2000 children come through the gates of Camp Mini-Yo-We. Camper fees cover Camp’s direct operating costs, including food, program supplies, routine maintenance, utilities, insurance, etc. Camp is dependent upon donors for full-time staff support, camper sponsorships, capital projects, and seasonal staff support.

Camp Mini-Yo-We is incorporated as an Ontario not-for-profit corporation and is registered with the Canada Revenue Agency as Registered Charity # 119041721. Donations of $10 or more will receive a tax receipt.

Pre-Authorized Giving: If you would like to support Camp on an on-going basis, please consider a Pre-Authorized Giving Plan.

Gifts of Securities: Gifts of securities are particularly advantageous for donors who have publicly traded securities that have appreciated. Such donations are receipted to the donor at the appreciated value but government waives any capital gains tax. For more information please see our Gift of Securities Form.

Planned Gifts: Wills, insurance policies, etc.

Gifts in Kind: Gifts in Kind are also appreciated. Many people have donated vehicles, boats, furniture, generators and other equipment that is in great condition but they no longer need. For suggestions on what is needed please see our Wish List.


Where Needed Fund
(The BEST way to support Camp)

Donating to this fund empowers Camp to direct your money where it is most needed in the moment. This may include an unexpected development expense, a capital expenditure, or additional sponsorship support.

Camper Sponsorship Fund

This fund provides financial assistance to 150+ children each year whose families are unable to pay the full camp fee. We require families to pay a portion of the camp fee but rely on generous donors to supply the rest.

If you know a child you want to send to Camp directly you can fill out our Send a Child to Camp Form! This allows you to pay for a child’s week at summer camp. Although it’s not a donation since you are choosing who attends, it is a great way to directly impact a child. Read more in our blog Two Ways to Send a Child to Camp

Summer Staff Fund

Summer staff at Camp Mini-Yo-We include our cabin leaders and senior staff. Those who serve for four or more consecutive weeks receive a small honorarium for each week they serve. The Summer Staff Fund was established to assist mature staff who have additional life expenses, such as school tuition. By donating to this fund donors enable mature staff to continue on at Camp in senior leadership roles.

Development Fund

This fund is utilized directly in the developing of Camp’s facilities, programs, and activities.


In accordance with Board policy, spending of funds is confined to board-approved programs and projects. Each designated contribution toward a Board-approved program or project will be used as designated, with the understanding that when the need for such a program or projects has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason determined by the Board, the remaining contributions designated for such program or project will be used where needed most.
