Safety is our #1 priority at Camp Mini-yo-We. Our facility can hold over 400 campers a week and we recognize that accidents happen while kids are having fun. We combat this head-on with a team of qualified medical volunteers. Each week we aim to have 3 nurses on property and/or a doctor or paramedic available to assist them if needed.
Our medical staff are equipped to:
- Deliver regular medication to campers
- Bandage bumps and bruises
- Mend minor injuries
- Deliver over-the-counter medication
- Provide immediate first aid
- Accommodate a camper to a nearby hospital
Upon your arrival to Camp we require that all medication (over-the-counter included) be given to our medical staff. We only permit qualified medical staff to deliver medication to campers and do not permit camper medication to be stored in cabins.
In the event of an emergency, the Huntsville Hospital is only 20 minutes from Camp.
We do our best to accommodate the individual medical needs of campers. If you have any questions please contact us for more information.
