The Food Service staff at Camp Mini-Yo-We strive to provide both healthy and kid-friendly meals. Our balanced menu is designed to reflect Canada’s Food Guide and includes fresh and delicious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.
Each summer we hire Food Service staff dedicated to providing special dietary meals to our campers and staff.
We are set up to accommodate vegetarian, lactose-free, gluten-free, and vegan diets.
There are too many variables beyond our control for us to claim to have a peanut-free environment. We do not knowingly serve peanut products from our kitchens or tuck shops. We request that campers, staff, and guests do not bring peanut products onto the site. Our staff are instructed to remove peanut products if they come across them while on property. We consider our site “peanut aware”.
We do permit the use of products that list “may contain traces of peanut products” in their ingredient lists.
The private residences of staff living year-round on the site are not required to be peanut-free.
Individuals prone to anaphylactic reactions are required to bring two epi-pens and carry them in a fanny pack at all times. Parents of campers with a known anaphylactic allergy must disclose this condition on the registration and medical forms upon registration. We encourage parents to talk with the medical staff and their children’s cabin leader upon their arrival.
At Camp we operate on a 3-week menu rotation. Menus may change subject to availability from our suppliers.
