Michelle has been
involved with camping for many years. She has gone from camper to staff at Mini
Yo We and her kids are now enjoying the Mini Yo We camp experience as
well!!
Michelle has worked and lived full time at another camp, and brings a wealth of camp experience. She is excited about the challenge of developing the Discovery program this summer!
It is her desire to see campers and staff experience the extravagant love and grace of Jesus Christ. Her position as Discovery Camp Director allows her love for people and her fun loving personality to shine through!
Michelle, her husband Will, and their 3 children Spencer (15), Abi (13), and Issie (10) live in Bracebridge and attend Pinegrove Baptist Church. She is excited to be participating once again in the unique and wonderful ministry of camp Mini Yo We!
More About Our Staff
Going beyond the basics of caring for your children, our staff are dedicated Christians who have demonstrated their desire to live a Christian lifestyle and lead by example. Many of our staff were campers at Mini-Yo-We who come back summer after summer because they love Camp so much. Staff at Mini-Yo-We are volunteers who raise their own financial support through donations.
Each cabin of up to 10 campers at Discovery Camp is led by at least two or three cabin leaders. The cabin leaders are supported by a section head, who is responsible for overseeing a "section" or age group. There are also staff members responsible for running specific areas or activities at Camp. They are accountable and responsible to ensure that campers have fun and stay safe. Each Camp is under the leadership of its own Director who is a full-time staff member at Camp Mini-Yo-We.
