Going beyond the basics of caring for your children, our staff are
dedicated Christians who have demonstrated their desire to live a
Christian lifestyle and lead by example. Many of our staff were campers at Mini-Yo-We who come back summer after summer because they love Camp so much. Staff at Mini-Yo-We are volunteers who raise their own financial support through donations.
Each cabin of campers is led by at least one cabin leader. That cabin leader is supported by a section head, who is responsible for overseeing a "section" or age group. There are also staff members responsible for running specific areas or activities who are accountable and responsible to ensure that campers have fun and stay safe. Each camp is under the leadership of its own Director who is a full-time staff member at Mini-Yo-We.
Boys Camp Director - Ethan Clark
Ethan Clark was raised in Ajax Ontario. At the
age of 6 he
attended Camp Mini-Yo-We Junior Camp (now known as Discovery Camp). It
was
during that first camp experience that Ethan accepted Jesus as his
personal
Lord and Savior. Since that first summer, Ethan has come back to camp
each summer
as a camper, and at age 16 participated in Mini-Yo-We's LIT program.
Ethan then
served on camp staff for 7 summers in several different positions: Cabin
Leader, Section Head, Program Head, Waterfront Director, Canoe and Bike
Trip
Leader. Ethan has been involved in his home church all through his teens and adult life. While attending Tyndale he worked with the Forest Brook Youth Group for 5 years doing outreach, small groups, worship, and teaching.
In 2007 Ethan married his lovely wife Liz. They are both active members at Forest Brook. In 2009 Ethan was hired by Camp Mini-Yo-We where he still gladly serves as Boys Camp Director & PRiME Director.
